Pimco - to keep you updated on Phil's breaking story: forbes.com AFX News Limited Allianz's Pimco denies allegations it manipulated US Treasury market 08.30.2005, 04:43 AM FRANKFURT (AFX) - Allianz AG's Pimco bond fund unit denied accusations that it manipulated the US treasury market in June, the Financial Times Deutschland reported. It wrote that Raymond Chiu has filed a lawsuit against Pimco, alleging that it built up positions in both treasury futures and the treasury notes. Then, Pimco allegedly withheld its own treasuries from the market when others sought to buy them, driving up the price. 'This is completely without basis, and we will defend ourselves against these accusations with all available resources,' a Pimco spokesman told the newspaper.
