The wreckage is bad but the flooding -- catastrophic isn't a big enough word for it. On the more fortunate side, imagine if we did not have the sophisticated weather forecasting tools that we have. Imagine if they did not evacuate NO and the other nearby places. The disaster would have been on a biblical scale. It could have been far worse. I guess that is small consolation for those that suffered loss.
