It's the price of energy, period. My advice to my hedge fund people was just that yesterday, buy the crude/unleaded/heating oil & diesel dump of Monday. And SHORT the indexes in the runup. Futures, options, all of it. Opposite and opposing forces. The caveat is the ppt, they will mitigate the downside, and for the time being they have the powder to do so. So trade like crazy. A mega opp Monday was. As a matter of fact, I have to go downtown for a lunch meeting on this whole disaster scenario topic, and I like to work from home, and it takes a lot to get me downtown these days.
