I studied environmental law under Oliver Houck at Tulane. He really knows his stuff, really cares about the environment. But people who care about the environment in New Orleans have been fighting an uphill battle for decades.

The social elites in New Orleans don't care about the environment, they care about Mardi Gras.

Worrying about the environment in New Orleans is about as popular as Cindy Sheehan at a VFW hall. If you talk about saving the wetlands, you're a freak.

I bet this time they get the message.
