If we all benefit from the Port of New Orleans then we should all pay. It's like paying for Interstate Highways. But, if we all pay, then the money should be spent wisely. This is one reason that corrupt politicians make me so mad. They screw things up so many ways it's like a cancer on the body of the public, eating up the substance. Little things, like lack of enforcement of building codes, to big things, like nepotism when it comes to public construction. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of good people who care deeply. And this should be a wakeup call.
