Democrats can be expected to start hitting hard and fast after the holiday. This week they are hitting Bushies on demoting the Halliburton whistleblower in the DOD. How corrupt is that defending Halliburton which has ripped off tax-payers so badly, with the VP as its CEO?

We also have a terrible tragedy with the hurricane. How sad that just as New Orleans thought it had survived, the levees break. The whole old town could be underwater soon. And boy could they use all those resources of ours which are over in Iraq to help.

This drums in the fact that we need our soldiers back home safe and alive, not fighting amidst the Iraqi civil war. That adventure is a failure and it needs to end. Let the Iragis figure out their own future.

Also, this fall Prosecutor Fitzgerald may do something Democrats have no power to do now, remove an entire upper level of the White House and send them to prison. Stay tuned. One thing Dems can do is investigate Tom DElay, but they'd ratrher do that closet to the 2006 elections. Those elections are our only hope to dislodge the oil business and other corporate powers from the takeover of our government, not to mention the rightwing Christian zealots and "who can we invade next? neocon types.
