The whole Iraq War looks like an absurd waste now. The damage and danger from Katrina swamps anything Al Qaida could do to us. It's worse than 9-11 by far because it will take years to repair all those lives. With all that contaminated water, we might also see epidemic outbreaks. Remember, Louisiana was originally a wetlands swamp. It was not a natural place for humans to build a city. All this is terrible, but what makes it worse is that Bush has our best soldiers and rebuilders stuck in Iraq including most of the local states National Guards and most of our choppers, which is the only way to get around some of those areas.
