I have family in both Mississippi and in Louisiana. We're still trying to locate several of my cousins and one of my Aunts. No landlines seem to be working, but we've managed to locate a few of our family members via cell. What a disaster.

My mom used to be a nurse and she was telling me that all of those people walking around in the water are in alot of danger. She said that hospitals have already been evacuated and penicillin and the generic versions will be in short supply. So those people in the water will have a huge risk of contracting life-threatening infections without access to the proper anti-bacterial medicines. Even a small cut on your leg can turn septic in the toxic soup that is that water. I can't state how huge this disaster is.
