300 HP Duramax Diesel 4x4 with a long box -- 25 mpg highway. Note I am using a 4.5392 litres to a gallon which is an Imperial gallon. A US gallon is 0.8 of that. So the truck would get 20 mpusg. A 1958 Mercedez Benz used to get 40 mpg at 60 mph. That is Imperial gallons again. You could subtract your speed from 100 and that was your mileage. HP was 40. EC<:-}
