Or you may just be observing the output of a very well oiled machine assembled with the best material and human effort Wall Street could find using unlimited funding. I suppose it could be either one.

I will have to admit to a bias though, and I tend to believe it is just a machine, however complicated. But it could be the other. But if the other at some point you need to see signs of some other characteristics like the "will to life" for example. I guess the day that GOOG would begin to use creative means to "turn itself back on" after being disconnected from the grid (without this function being pre-programmed by one of the human designers) then the thing may be coming to life.

Hope that Grandchild is the first of many.
