I just thought I would drop by for some cookies and milk when I noticed your post. I think it's probably a valid observation about the mindset of soldiers. After all, that is the entire point of basic training, is it not? Not to think but to follow orders unquestionably, unhesitatingly. A soldier is not permitted the luxury that you and I have to sit and ponder things. They must act quickly and decisively if they are to be effective. Now if you want an ineffective fighting force then teach them to ask "what's my motivation" before they obey any order.

Any oatmeal raisin ones left?
