everyone your posts are helpful and give comfort I have spent most of the day on the phone my father is now registered with red cross, linked to my name, address, phone number, cell number and email also listed with nola I have made contact with a man I some what know in the coast guard, am expecting a return call - from what I understand he is in the command control center [out east I think] and will try to find out about the status of the hotel where my dad was staying and my dad also have contacted several airlines in several major cities near NO that may be in evacuation sites, to assure he would get priority booking am waiting and looking for a list of planned evacuation sites [and there will be many according to mayor nagin] the tv news is driving me crazy - I see there is a fire on canal and bourbon, a block from where my dad was - but I still watch and also listen to the live stream at wwltv, just hoping to catch some information thanks to all, I so mean that
