I gave up on calling IDI's IR dept. because I found them in the past to be either ignorant or misleading of any worthwhile details or strategic information. IDT used to have the marketing dept. handle IR and they were just as bad as a "dumb" IR spokesperson. I hate to waste my time asking questions only to get some simplistic explaination or to find out that while IR was saying one thing IDTs' CFO or other managemnet was saying something 180 degrees different. I found that IR either didn't care, wasn't informed, was lazy or was purposely misleading. That's one reason why I don't trust IDT management, they have earned the reputation of being out of the loop with investors and running a lousy IR department. Maybe things have changed, I haven't talked with IR for some time. With several companies I have talked directly with the CEOs and CFOs. Once I do get past the flunky secretaries these people usualy find value in discussing their business with me. I will say that I have pointed more than a few companies management toward acquisition targets, business alignments and major new market opportunities and generaly offered a free sounding board for their ideas. A lot of people pay for the level of informed discussion (board members) that I and several other Silicon Investors are well capable of engaging in (I've seen "expert" strategic analysis and marketing studies that cost several tens of thousands that were full of enough crap to be worthless or even damaging).

Maybe I should call IR just to satisfy my curiosity as to what kind of fool(s) IDT has in the position. I could bel pleasantly surprised.

Sorry for venting on my feelings about IDT IR.
