There was no water, no food, no electricity, no phones, no housing, no gas for cars, no medical services. Looting was rampant"
From the media's standpoint, this disaster is much more concentrated in a small area than the Florida one was. They will be able to cover the Superdome, etc, with cameras and show a lot more people. This will tend to intensify the misery shown, especially since this is what interests people.
To top it off, we are dealing with the poorest element of the city, who are the ones who looted. They are crammed together so much that their misery will stand out. Look for Al and Jesse to be there shortly, getting between the cameras and them, crying "racism!" and demanding even more handouts for them.
So anything that is bad will look even badder when the media gets on it. Cries of "incompetence!", will arise in the next few days, and the left will get on it to make the Admin look awful. |
