Katrina has done just about as much damage as a terrorist attack would,maybe more. It has also unleashed the worst depravity in society, those who feast on the ill fortune of others. The looting and shooting at helicopters who come to help those who are stranded. I hear the Governor say that law and order must be restored. A CONUNDRUM AT BEST. Meanwhile I think that there is still a war going on in Iraq. Things are really a mess in the world, aren't they /john.. Makes me feel like getting the covers pulled over my head and trying to forget it all... Can only watch so much suffering and not get depressed. Contributions coming in big from this little community here in the NC Mountains. Honda contributing $ 50.00 for every car sold. Toyota doing more and contributions are being taken at local Red Cross..and blood donations this Tuesday. Social conscientiousness such as this in a community where folks are friendly kind and "reach out" is refreshing.
