Murdoch announces $2.5 Billion warchest. News Corporation Limited Adrs (NWS) "...NEWS CORP LTD chairman Rupert Murdoch said his media group was in a strong financial position to pursue its global growth strategy and that the digital age represented many opportunities. The newspaper, television and film giant had cash balances in excess of US$2.7 billion, Murdoch said in News Corp's annual report, issued. This may please U.S. ratings agency Standard & Poor's (S&P), which last month said News Corp's triple-B corporate credit rating remains on creditwatch with negative implications.
