People in New Orleans are clinging to dear life. . . let's appoint a committee.

Politicians need to step aside. Neither the city of New Orleans, nor the state of Louisiana have the resources to evacuate the city. Tens of thousands of armed forces are desperately needed right now in this area to direct evacuation. Call it part of an effort to secure the natural gas lines and refineries. Call it a matter of national security. Call it whatever you need to. Just get it done.

The latest 1500 National Guard troops are undoubtedly earmarked to keep looting down. . . although I must say that when I saw a mother running out of a store with a box of baby formula, I was rooting for her to get away. The food in the stores must all be replaced anyway. Get the priorities right. Let those who need it, take it.

Somehow, I think that water rising in New York, Boston or Washington D.C. would be met with immediate resources and NO regard for cost. This morning's aerial view showed rooftops that were seen yesterday ... completely gone today. The water is rising in New Orleans at an alarming rate.

At 9/11, America instantly came together, working at full capacity to resolve the chaotic situation. I wish I could say I am seeing the same thing here.

The president should have been flying over the area yesterday afternoon, in my opinion, in order to grasp the scale of this disaster.

There is no way for anyone to prepare for such a disaster, and pointing fingers back at past politicians is useless. In my opinion, it is rarely only the Republican's fault or only the Democrat's fault, but nearly always the near-sighted, self-absorbed, greedy politicians fault. And by lumping all politicians into a single group, I am probably 90% accurate.

OK, I am sufficiently frustrated now.
