The Galveston solution would certainly be a better
option than merely rebuilding NO as is where is ..
but it probably wouldn't work long term as the entire
city is located on an active subsidence zone ..

Maybe save the French Quarter as a living museum
a la Williamsburg Va .. and rebuild the new New
Orleans above sea level somewhere north of
Lake Pontchartrain ..
