My son in Houston told me this morning that there is between 200,000 and 300,000 additional eople in Houston right now. Refugees from the entire affected area are stranded and desperate.

Families are living in their cars parked wherever they can find a space in strip mall parking lots.

We have on our hands a huge national disaster that has to be addressed immediately by many cities located near the hurricane zone.

We now have the first large refugee crisis we have ever faced as s nation...........................millions of people are displaced and desperate.

Houston hasn't seen federal money.............my son is one of many volunteers that worked long hours in the Astrodome to prepare the place for the New Orleans victims. THey are outraged at the lack of assistance.
