After Katrina Struck, Bush was Busy Making a BS Speech Defending the discredited, failed war in Iraq remains Bush's main obsession. Even though we Americans have a hard time seeing any sense in our being over there anymore, and we need our troops and equipment home now. As a result, Bush largely ignored the oncoming peril in the US and spent those valuable hours after the storm hit making an incredibly dishonest speech about how we must stay in Iraq to defend the oilfields. As if we need 150,000 troops to defend a few oilfields. And as if he would ever-ever leave any oilfield behind anywhere on the planet. Oil is what drives this man. very high-priced oil. And he has delivered both.
