Okay, I agree, the antidote suggestion was half-baked but I'm sure it has some applications. It already has on a voluntary basis with anaesthesia, when doctors render people unconscious with brain poison then bring them around again with an antidote.
Perhaps for mental health emergencies where control of somebody who has temporarily lost their mind is essential, and shooting them with bullets isn't the best solution.
I don't think curare is poisonous as a liquid on skin. It needs to be injected. [Google would know] It would seem more convenient for a woman to simply carry a little needle system for self-defence than to stick a stupid thing like that in her vagina.
