Civic responsibility must start with those who have the intelligence, resources, and sense of responsibility to fight entropy.

My old friends in New Orleans were like that -- none of them big shots in any way, but motivated to make a difference. They got things done.

All over America, and, I assume, all over the world, the differences are made by ordinary people who have passion for what they do.
