>>>> Plus, FEMA generated a report in early 2001 that underscored a terrorist attack in New York, a hurricane hitting New Orleans and an earthquake in San Francisco as the greatest risks of disaster in the United States.

The FEMA director, himself, has repeatedly stated that a category 5 hurricane hitting N.O. is a disaster they specifically planned for, recognizing it was one of the worst possible scenarios that could play out.

Well, it is here. It isn't the FEMA director's fault. It isn't Bush's fault. Hell, it isn't even Clinton's fault.

One thing is certain: The administration's response to this crisis has been swift and surefooted. The Gov. of LA is a dumbass, and the mayor of N.O. is an idiot. At least they are getting out of the way and letting FEMA run the show.

We are 72 hours into the worst disaster our nation has ever faced. It is a bit early for the Dems to be out in force, but they clearly are -- beginning with that pathetic creep Syd Bluemthal.
