There is <political> hell to pay if people can't get gas. I talked to my wife (who just walked in) and she said one station (Hess) did have some gas, with long lines. The New Orleans refineries supply everybody from Chicago to Key West. And the economists are saying this won't effect GDP? Give me a break. It turns out Bush did call for volunteer rationing this afternoon......I think.......sort of. He said in his latest speech: "Don't buy gas unless you have too". I know that's real good ole boy talkspeak and very direct.......but does that mean he's calling for voluntary rationing or not. ted
