I am of the opinion that George Bush has acted way to slow. Supplied way to little help. The US governments response to this disaster is a disgrace to the US population. We have acted faster and gave more to disasters in other nations.
We have refused help from other nations.
I am listening to the Homeland Security Secretary say that this will be a drawn out event. These people are out of their minds. People are dying. People are suffering. These are Americans.
I cannont believe what I am hearing. I cannot believe what I am seeing. How can we not be dropping water and food to these people. How can we not have thousands of port-a-johns at places where people are being forced to wait. How can we not have our armed forces taking acton against the armed Americans turned terrorists. How can we not have doctors treating and supplying medicine to people who need it. This is a National disaster. It requires America to react in the fastest way possible. Our president is on TV asking Americans to donate money. Is he out of his mind. I support what he is doing in Iraq. I feel he should be impeached on his lack of response towards this national disaster. HE IS ON TV ASKING AMERICANS TO DONATE MONEY.
People are being turned away trying to go into the city to find sick dying people because they are not protected. I, as an American am disgraced watching on TV how I see these people suffer. Here their stories of suffering. Here that people have no fresh water. How the people have been treated in the Silver Dome. My god, have helicopters drop food and water to them with porta-johns. It should have been done Tuesday.
This is America.The most helpful country in the world that responds to disasters in other countries extremely fast with food, water and medical supplies. Our president in my mind will never be forgiven for his lack of response. For turning his back on fellow Americans. For running a telethon to raise money for these distraught Americans. Refugees, Hell no these are Americans. Mr. Bush please stop bending over, get your head out of your ass, and respond to a disaster with apropriate actions. We need leadership down there. We need to send everything we can as a country into the area. Food, water, medical supplies, marines to take the city over NOW!!
Please turn the TV on Mr. Bush. There are Americans suffering, dying, begging for your help.
Well I am glad I got that of my chest.
I am one disgusted, disgraced American.
I do not feel proud f how our country reacted.
Im blame George Bush. The president of the United States of America.
