Bush cut the levee funding just last year by 70%. Why? Iraq. Which is also why some 25,000 Guardsmen and first responders, plus legions of choppers and heavy equipment are unavailable to help with the disaster recovery.

Do the math. Iraq war = thousands dead, total chaos/horror and New Orleans destroyed.

Was the Iraq occupation worth it? And remember, there are 2000 US dead, 200 billion US dollars gone and 20,000 US wounded from Iraq. Plus maybe 200,000 Iraqis blasted apart.

Actually the better question is, was there ever any rational reason for us to be occupying Iraq?
