zincman it is plain and simple the American people have been duped. All our equipment that was not gutted by Clinton and Bush and the fact in addition that gutting by both, what equipment we have is spread in 120 plus countries abroad. We have no HOMELAND protection. This is a terrible farce. I only hope people wake up to finally see that we need to take care of business at home first. It has been a long time coming.
It is exacerbated by the war which causes an even further reduction in National Guard since both parties gutted the army and the guard for our Nation, ie National Guard is all over seas.

Where is the helo squadron seems like that could be civilian owned and manned?

We are all responsible but our planners have failed.
