BTW, did ANY of the CNN folks say specifically what Bush himself should have done in the last 62 hours to:
--Order food made for about a million people (At least 2 meals per each person)....ready to go, and in easy to eat packets....and told the makers it was to be ready to go in 24 hours...
--Gas all the vehicles needed....that is, after they were located.
--Order the water bottling companies t have ready in 24 hours about 24 oz. of water for EACH of a million plus people, and for as many days as it took to have the water drained from the levee floods...
--Ordered extension cords (hundreds of miles long) so that they could be plugged into a giant water pump with another gigantic hose ( and inserted in a house, near the Gulf Course, to drain each of perhaps 80,000 homes .....these had to be special ordered, and surely there must be some company out there that could do it in 24 hours....
--Manufactured massive quantities of aspirin, baby diapers, feminine products, clothing, bedding of all sorts, cots, scooters, wagons to carry everything in....all in 24-36 hours, and dropped them down to the snake infested waters, in the hope that someone could get them.
--Manufactured millions of tents and camping gear for the people in FOUR major States to live in while their communities were cleaned out, and sanitized from all the filth that had accumulated....
ETC.
What has the Governor of the State been doing in the past several years to prepare for such an eventuality?
What has the Senate and House of LA been doing to prepare for this disaster?
Please tell me again exactly what the Media wanted Bush to have done in the past 63 hours (now...) |
