I am horrified that we did not spend the money up front. I am just horrified. I've been talking about infrastructure problems for a long time- do you think this will be a wake up call? Do you think we'll finally do work on all the unsafe dams in the country? I doubt it. We are not only over extended militarily, we are cash strapped financially.

I hope we start spending some money here, at home, because if we don't New Orleans won't be the first preventable disaster.
