Anybody who lost their only house probably has a low enough net worth to qualify. I don't know how Louisiana treats things like retirement funds, though. But I do have a friend who is a bankruptcy trustee in New Orleans. Well, I assume he had the brains to leave. He's the smart type. His best friend, well, he stayed in his house in New Orleans East and nobody's heard from him since.
