That's sad. Well, if they want to file bankruptcy, the residence requirement is whereever you spent the majority of the last 180 days, which means 91 days. This will take them past the October 17 deadline for the new law.

I expect that they can file in Baton Rouge, under the circumstances.

And I highly recommend the little Blankrupter singles program that costs less than $40. I used to use it before I bought Best Case, a mammoth program that costs a bundle but is worth it if you file a lot. Blankrupter singles are much better than paper. You can download it, try it, and if you like it, pay for it in order to get full functionality.
