The 50/200 day moving average crossover on the HUI took a bit longer than I'd expected but it's happened today...

Although simple, these long term trend change signals are quite rare. The XAU has already crossed, as has the POG. All I'm waiting for is for the POG/POS ratio to start moving down significantly -- below 55 say -- for confirmation that the next leg of the gold bull has started. This ratio has not looked encouraging so far...

Either way, I still expect the basic MA crossovers on the HUI and XAU to bring some big money into the majors over the next couple of weeks.
