Not from a tanker, from a stationary tank. Venice is right on the mouth of the Mississippi and was more or less flattened by the storm, it caught the eye I beleive, so it's really not too surprising.

Stories in days to come will be focus on the environmental disaster left behind. New Orleans may make Love Canal look like the clean room of a semi manufacturer......
