But by accepting that a formulation is a theory is to also accept that the formulation may be in error, and to be open minded about credible evidence that tends to support this view. That is the proper way, and indeed the modern way in science. I'm not talking about science, but politics. And none of this bears upon college level curriculum but upon grade schools. The hard left is mostly atheist and they have a burning desire to promote atheism as a religion and partly for reasons I mentioned in another post. Their favorite target for the expression of their atheism is the public school system. As the majority of parents do not want their children lectured about the wonders of atheism, local parents groups have to be on guard to keep the classroom from becoming a platform for the worst sore-tails of the local atheist community. In every school system here in which my children have been enrolled this has been accomplished and the ideologues banished from their pulpits. Slagle
