The Mayor has been fighting fiercely to save his people, and gave the right advice five days ago, to evacuate. Bush did nothing until days later, after the damage was done and the crisis was dire. FEMA and Homeland Security were pathetic. Only the Coast Guard seemed with-in.

Also, difficult to ignore the fact that the Iraq War directly contributed to the disaster. The truth is, the Guard armories, choppers and heavy equipment, as well as the best-trained men, are almost all over in Iraq. So when we really needed them they were missing.

Bush claims we're fighting for freedom in Iraq. Who's freedom is he talking about? Not ours. He sounds completely of of touch with reality. Iraq is making us less safe and more enslaved to gas gouging, terror threats and a lack of real peace and prosperity.
