I worked in high tech for 19 years. I do a little consulting now and again, but for the most part am out of it. I wish I could say I loved it like you, but that would be a gross overstatement. I wasn't miserable all the time, but more than I care to think about. I think I could have or would have enjoyed it if I had worked for an outfit doing things I was really interested in (e.g. space program, biomed, etc...), but that's just not the way it worked out. No major complaints, though, as it worked out for me, and I feel very fortunate for that.

Now I just have to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. : )
