What broke my heart was the shot on t/v of the HUNDREDS of school buses neatly parked with water up to their windows. Gosh, those buses could have been moved out of the flood zone even after the hurricane passed (I dont think they were damaged as they were neatly in rows) and used to move people quickly out. Ideally, they could have been used even before the hurricane to evacuate people, but I can understand the unwillingness initially to FORCE people to evacuate but afterwards and before the flood waters got too high could have done it. jdn
