"It's a prescription for failure." Probably. AFAIK, it has never been stable. But we are trying very hard. Probably the recent events will prove to be its unravelling. Well, one can dream... If Brian Williams has its way, it will fail. God knows many of us have had enough of the lies and denial. This attitude that admitting the truth is unAmerican and that the subservient must keep quiet in the face of danger and duress is offensive and nonconstructive. The white folk are offended by the black folk they are seeing on their tv screen.....looters and marauders with gold teeth and poor table manners and even poorer English. Tough titty! What the white folk refuse to see is that its not only the black folks' fault that they are in the mess they are in. What the neocons fail to see is that the way the American system works, there are certain people who can't and mostlikely won't get to join the rest of us in the system. This denial did not start with the neocons......it is intrinsic to the American dream BS and one would hope that it will stop at some point in the future. ted
