If you're trying to argue that ground travel within NOLA has been trouble free, I think anyone in their right mind with a TV set could set your straight on the matter.

No....don't try to change the subject. We were talking to get in and out of New Orleans......to the part that is above sea level and did not flood........where the Superdome and the convention center are located. That said and clarified.......getting in and out could be done with a minimum of difficulty. I watched them do it.

BTW did you read the article about the Aussies.....how our gov't wouldn't allow the Aussies to go in to look for their fellow Aussies so people from a tv station got them out of NO?

Perhaps you missed the news that 80% of NOLA is underwater.

Yes, the part that's not the French Quarter, downtown, the Superdome and the convention center is underwater. Where the soldiers needed to go and where they did go yesterday....you guessed it......that's the part not underwater.........the French Quarter, downtown, the Superdome and convention center. My God.....Harry Connick Jr. was walking around NO on Wednesday. What was Bush's problem?

>>> but then I suspect you wouldn't be caught dead in NO.

??? I spent the week around Memorial Day in NOLA, Gulfport, & Biloxi. I go there frequently and love the place.

Well then, why are you experiencing so much difficulty with understanding about the French Quarter and it being the original settlement and it being above sea level and getting in and out of NO this past week? I've only been there four times and I could figure that much out from the news reports.
