I agree with a lot of what you say. It's a fine line. All we ask is that if members like our service that they subscribe. Your original message however was (in a nut shell):

"No, keep posting the information here for free"

That I disagree with. When someone takes our report, does a copy/paste of it into an SI thread and says "Here's what DTO is buying today" then we don't appreciate it.

You point out the libraries. That's fine, but we don't send our report to the library when send it to members. When a member takes our information and posts it on the internet, that's a violation of their agreement with us. What you are talking about here is more like taking a book to Kinko's, making a photo copy of it and handing it out to all your friends so they can own it without having to buy a copy.

Frankly, I get the impression that you would rather just read our information for free than to subscribe. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not. I suspect I can find you at the library in the free magazine section to discuss this further :-)

You also bring up the subject of people finding samples of our reports here and that that may lead them to subscribe. I agree with that, as long as it doesn't turn into abuse of our information and as long as credit is given.

Either way, those were just my comments. Thanks for the reply... either way it makes a lively discussion! :-)

Take it easy and good luck in the markets
