The response to the disaster was 3 days late, everyone acknowledges that, and there is no excuse for it.

This is one more very disappointing chapter in the Bush presidency. Just inexcuseable on all levels. Finally 5 days later what should have been underway the day after is going well. But you rightwingers share guilt on this one. You have been supporting this Iraq War which has been sucking up all our Guard, military equipment, money and resources, and now it's costing us dearly back home.

Also, Bush was once again asleep at the wheel when disaster struck after having cut levee construction funds by 85%.

The day after Katrina he was making a BS speech about Iraq comparing himself to FDR. As if any comparison between the two is remotely rational.

Also, you seem to be implying that black people are "feces". Do you want to retract that statement? This week made bleeding heart liberals out of millions of good former conservatives. They saw the reality of the world, not the rightwing spin, and they realized they had to step in where their government had failed.
