I didn't realize Chicago has offered to take some people. That's good news. I agree that is a very good solution. We should just put them on the Amtrak where they want to go. ..at least the ones that want to go somewhere. I cannot imagine that our government would not take them up on that offer.
I was really making a snide remark (that never suits me) ld about dumping large masses of these poor folks
on cities. It appears Los Angeles would not welcome them. But maybe we shouldn't ask. :).
