Bullshit your self. If I'm desperate and my family is starving, what is my first reaction? Is it to shoot at the rescuers, rape any passing women, and steal digital T.V.s? No, those are not the actions of desperate men. Those are the actions of criminals in their idea of heaven: a place where there are thousands of people with no police around to hold them accountable. Don't give me this desperation crap. This type of behavior didn't happen in New York. The fact that prisoners were let loose in lieu of evacuating them to other prisons is the BEST explanation I've seen for the rampant crime wave. Desperate people looking for food and water don't rape and steal T.V.s. They may kill for food, but they don't shoot at doctors and rescue workers, because that is precisely what they are looking for.
