Bush must be held accountable for the 4 day delay in helping hundreds of thousands of devastated American citizens exactly at the time they needed him lost. If you look at what Bush was doing betweem Saturday and Tuesday, it's clear he was not paying much attention. Other than a brief statement urging people to beware and evacuate, no response whatsoever.

They say FEMA was in there before the storm but njobody saw them for days afterwards. The Coast Guard seems to be the only feds on the ball, but probably only because their ranks were not cut in half by the Iraq War. Half the problem we had was the Iraq War. It had drained the money, troops and equipment we desperately needed. As a result thousands more Americans died.
