I really dont know why people keep looking right past the point. I wasn't looking past anything. I take your point. My counter question is how many people might have died fighting for spots on the busses? I saw an interview the other day of a police officer who was disgusted that the men he was dealing with had no concept of "women and children first." He was clearly agitated over it. So who do you suppose would have gotten the spots on the buses? And how many busses would have been disabled in the process? You're assuming that the bussing process would have been orderly. Given what has happened, I don't think we can assume that.
