OT -- what topic?

Has anyone thought of taking up a collection to be distributed to an agency in Louisiana-Mississippi for Hurricane survivors on a thread or this SI thread? Don't have to fork over much, 10-200. Perhaps just PM pledges and send to IRC or such in Baton Rouge, Jackson, Houston. I know people could give direct etc, but it might help goodwill and people might chip in a bit more if they saw some community effort/discussion. It's not much and initially it may seem like a land too far away and people not connected to us, but it would sure be appreciated by ourselves if the shoe was on the other foot. I also has to help settle society in that area. Not a bad thing all in all.
