When you describe politicians as corrupt, inept, greedy and even uncaring, I agree with you, all these things happen these days (well, I mean "still," the American Constitution sadly not withstanding), and it breaks my heart. Naturally, I take offense when you claim I would ever defend any of it.

You are simply hell-bent on promoting a rigid, almost religious view, er, I mean, crazy rabid religious-like view, with each passing day and issue.

Some things which aren't really happening are conjured by you, IMHO, as you are determined to believe in them as fitting the circumstances you become aware of, due to false assumptions. Much like some sailor long ago who believed in and feared a flat earth which he might sail right off of, you are stuck on a political possibility wherein "bushie republicans" will and are destroying everything.

To think of believing in your notion of politics, would for me be akin to seriously considering believing in the Flying Spaghetti Monster and become a Pastafarian.

Edit: Oh, and I like to think I'm one of the good guys.
