Some of the local politicians there seem to always want to play the race card, and most of us "Northerners" can't understand what they are doing, nor why. Some of my ancestors were Quakers and helped slaves escape from that kind of nonsense. Mary has done exactly WHAT...to help the situation??? Blanco has done exactly WHAT, especially as part of the First Responder team for the first 72 hours????? Too bad Jindal didn't win....He has made more sense than most of the other politicians down there, and probably has rolled up his sleeves more, and actually helped the people as well.
