Re: " 7 days is not the point"

It was YOUR main point in reply to me. And you were wrong. It wasn't predicted to hit N.O. anywhere close to 7 days earlier, by most.

Re: "When the order to evacuate was given there should have been free city busses, trains, planes and carpools out of the area. This would have been cheap to do. You are the idiot!"

Then the Mayor of a city below sea level is certainly to blame, as well as undemanding citizens themselves. Still, you act as though the act of getting in transportation out of town is the end of the cost.

Of course they wouldn't all go. Shall we comb all the houses and force people to leave at gunpoint (as if that would be quickly feasible), or let them risk death? If most did go, they would require the kind of facilities they are in now (as I've noted, without acknowledgement), if only for some days 'til moving back. Shall we have them take their pets? Surely. We'll have to set up pet facillities and match folks with their pets. How about basic belongings? What about looters who absolutely stay?

Oh, it's not something that's been in our plans for any other hurricane. Who's to blame for that? One of those others might have hit this hard way back when, but we didn't have your plan in place then either. Who's to blame?

Chorus please: "the Bushies"

LOL
