So what? Local elected officials can't get overly emotional? The guy was ranting about some employee's mother phoning her son to ask when help would arrive and then drowning from the flood five days after the levees broke. If you have an ounce of sense, you have to be wondering whether that really happened. The guy seemed hysterical. That has nothing to do with whether he is a dedicated public servant - it is just a matter of emotion taking over good sense.
